Spring in Bloom

This is a project during my internship at Sunday Staples. It is a collection of footwear designs that are inspired from fruits and floral garden, which was launched during Chinese New Year 2022.

The design was initially inspired from Lily flower, with the organic outline of the petal and a line running through the center.

The design went through stages of transformation to adjust according to target audience’s preference. The final design turned into a simple and flattering sandals with neutral tones. The visual is similar to a leaf shape, thus the name Jacinda Leaf Sandals.

This design incorporated a laser cut strap and an hourglass heel to accentuate femininity. The idea for the laser cut strap is to mimic a floral lace on leather. The design also comes with a kids shoe with pearl embellishments.

The thong sandals is made of tweed material, which was inspired from the texture of fruit husks.

This design was initially inspired from the twist motion in Calla Lily. It went through numerous transformations and simplified to a twisted strappy sandals for everyday wear.

As the name implies, this design was inspired from orchid petals. The focal point is on the petals with a strap weaving through it. The design also provides an optional ankle tie strap.
